Tim Wenger

Senior Editor

Matador Network

Tim is a Colorado-based journalist and author focused on conservation, outdoor rec, and technology. At Matador Network, he's filed work from four continents, reporting extensively from Southeast Asia, Mexico, and British Columbia. He's also a regular contributing author for Fodor's guidebooks.

After completing a BA in Communications from Fort Lewis College, Tim jumped into the back of a Ford Econoline and spent a decade playing guitar in a ska/punk band while falling in love with adventure travel. He's been unable to rest his pen (or his feet) ever since.

Matador Network

Suzie’s work focuses on adventure travel, public lands, and unexpected destinations around the world. She was also the former Sierra Nevada editor at SFGate.com, with recent freelance bylines in publications such as BBC Travel, AFAR, Outside, and the SF Chronicle. She's the author of several guidebooks, including two upcoming Lonely Planet titles.

Prior to freelancing, Suzie worked at the U.S. State Department before traveling to work on political campaigns, and holds an M.A. in Media and Public Affairs from George Washington University. She spends her free time mountain biking, petting random dogs, and ghosting from parties.
