Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided for media delegates in Palm Cove. Details will be provided upon acceptance of media invitation. The core dates of accommodation provided for media are Friday 9 May to Monday 12 May.

 

Flights

International and domestic flights will be provided for media delegates to Palm Cove. Details will be provided upon acceptance of media invitation.

 

Transfers

Coach transfers to and from Cairns Airport to Palm Cove will be provided for all media delegates.

 

Visa Information

All international visitors entering Australia (excluding New Zealand passport holders) are required to have a visa. Tourism Australia recommends that you follow the relevant guidance of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship on its website and/or through your local embassy or consulate, and/or that you seek the assistance of a registered migration agent. Australian Quarantine And Inspection Service (AQIS)

Australian quarantine standards are strict and every piece of luggage coming into Australia is x-rayed or screened. Visitors must declare for inspection all food, plant material and animal products on arrival in Australia to ensure they are free of pests and diseases. Australian Customs Service

Please be aware that strict rules apply relating to the amount of duty free goods that can be brought into Australia. These rules state that if you exceed any of the concession limits set out by the Australian Customs Service, Customs will charge you duty and tax on the entire importation or purchase within that group of items. EXHIBITORS

Accommodation

Accommodation in Palm Cove is the responsibility of each Exhibitor.

 

Flights

Domestic flights to Cairns are the responsibility of each Exhibitor.

 

Transfers

Two complimentary coach transfers to and from Cairns Airport to Palm Cove will be provided for Exhibitors on Friday 9 May. The transfers will coincide with morning and afternoon flight arrivals and details will be advised shortly.

 

A complimentary transfer for delegates attending the New Media Workshop will also be offered. Details are as follows:

 

7:30am  Depart Cairns Convention Centre for Hotel Grand Chancellor Palm Cove

4:30pm  Depart Hotel Grand Chancellor Palm Cove for Cairns Convention Centre

 

Transfers are subject to availability and if these times aren’t suitable exhibitors will need to make their own way to and from Palm Cove.
