On Thursday, November 20th, InterContinental Hong Kong's   1-Michelin star STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill will present a Clos Du Val Wine Dinner showcasing seven wines form the acclaimed Napa Valley winery in California's Stags Leap District, paired with a 4-course dinner (HK$1.488 + 10% service per person).

 

Adam Torpy, Chief Executive of Goelet Wine Estates (the owners of Clos Du Val), will be on hand to introduce his Clos Du Val wines.

STEAK HOUSE Chef Chan Chiu Ming has created a 4-course pairing menu that includes:

  • Surf & Turf – Beef Tartare & Prawn Salad
  • Beef Cheek & Tongue Ravioli, Black Truffle Sauce
  • Roasted US Beef Striploin, with Horseradish Hollandaise Sauce, Winter Vegetables & Mixed Beans with Bacon
  • Deep-fried Raclette de Savoie & Comte Cheese, 24 months, Cherry Sauce

 

About Clos Du Val

Clos Du Val (French for “small vineyard estate of a small valley”) is located in Napa Valley's Stags Leap District, close to the town of Napa, California. Franco-American entrepreneur John Goelet and French winemaker Bernard Portet founded Clos De Val in 1972 following a worldwide search for ideal vineyard properties to grow classic French varietals. Clos Du Val consists of 150 acres in the Stags Leap District and 180 acres in the Carneros region.

 

Clos Du Val wines includes “Classic”, a collection of its most popular Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot and newly released Sauvignon Blanc. This approachable collection exemplifies Clos Du Val wines' timeless style. “Winemaker's Signature Series” are very limited and truly unique, with each wine bearing the signature of its maker, while showing graceful elegance and the independent nature of Clos Du Val. “Reserve” wines are blended for style, grace and longevity and are the ultimate expression of the vintage, with  a very limited amount produced only in years of exceptional quality. “Flagship” wines are limited in production, the Clos Du Val Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a true sense of its terroir.

 

The Three Graces (Splendor, Mirth and Joy) have adorned Clos Du Val's labels since 1972. These mythical daughters of Zeus were said to preside over Olympian banquets, spreading good cheer and raising a glass to prosperity, happiness, health and good fortune for all.
