Maison Nur, a Modern French-American Restaurant Led by Multiple Michelin-Starred Executive Chef Richard Farnabe, Opens on the Bowery in June 2025

NEW YORK, June 18, 2025—Maison Nur, a modern French-American fine dining restaurant led by multiple Michelin-starred Executive Chef Richard Farnabe, opens in June 2025. Located at 217 Bowery, Maison Nur is the bold vision of hospitality impresario Nur Khan. It is his latest venue following the opening of No. 79 Bar & Terrace and Bar Tetto Rooftop. The culmination of a three-decade career, Maison Nur brings an indulgent and sophisticated experience to the Lower East Side.
The urbane cuisine of Executive Chef Farnabe, an alum of Jean-Georges, Picholine and Daniel, is focused on seasonal ingredients transformed using precise cooking techniques. His cuisine is complemented by exceptional cocktails by global mixologist extraordinaire Charlotte Voisey. An icon of the Cocktail Renaissance, Voisey brings more than two decades of accomplishments. Maison Nur's opulent interior design by Khan and Jason Volenec sets a romantic vibe with Old World charm and stunning, museum-quality works of art by Damien Hirst, Neil Grayson and Harif Guzman.
Elegant French-American Fare by Executive Chef Richard Farnabe
“At Maison Nur, we serve elevated and seasonal French-American cuisine with a menu that is refined yet approachable and unlike any other,” says Executive Chef Farnabe. “We envision Maison Nur as the kind of place that our guests can visit several times a week and discover dishes that they cannot enjoy elsewhere. It all starts with superb ingredients, including wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef, organic eggs, pure cane sugar and organic, unbleached flour.”
Executive Chef Farnabe is celebrated in New York City's dining scene. He is best known for his work at Picholine, which earned two Michelin stars and a New York Times three-star review. Executive Chef Farnabe created the most expensive savory soufflé in the world at Petrossian Restaurant, led the highly acclaimed Mercer Kitchen and worked alongside Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at Jean-Georges. He began his ascent at Daniel Restaurant, following extensive work in some of the finest kitchens of his native France.

“I'm delighted to collaborate with Executive Chef Richard Farnabe, whom I have long admired as he rose through the city's culinary ranks,” says Khan. “He is highly awarded and revered, and we have given him full creative freedom to express his vision and cook from his heart. We are very excited to share his outstanding cuisine, complemented by delectable, gorgeous drinks by Charlotte Voisey and a thoughtful wine list.”
