CAMP OKAVANGO HAS BEEN AWARDED THE 'BEST LUXURY PRIVATE LODGE IN OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA' AT THE LUXURY LIFESTYLE AWARDS 2024

Desert & Delta Safaris are thrilled to announce that its Camp Okavango has been awarded the prestigious title of 'Best Luxury Private Lodge in Okavango Delta, Botswana' at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2024. This impressive accolade highlights the safari company's and the camp's incredible staff's dedication when balancing exceptional guest experiences with the ultimate respect for the glorious environment. The 16th annual Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2024 recognises excellence across a diverse range of industry sectors and maintains the highest standards in the industry on a global scale. The awarding body is known for providing assurance of the highest standards and celebrating pioneering excellence and innovation. After an extensive judging process where research was undertaken to discover whether the camp's professional performance matches its impeccable reputation, Camp Okavango was announced as “one of the best in this market”.

Camp Okavango is one of nine luxurious safari camps and lodges in Desert & Delta Safaris' portfolio set in prime locations in northern Botswana's and Namibia's famous game reserves and national parks. The exceptional camp accommodates 24 guests in 11 Safari suites and one Family suite, each raised on individual wooden platforms and set beneath the thick Okavango Delta vegetation. With an open-air design and elevated position, Camp Okavango showcases the very best of the Okavango Delta, an area that became the 1000th UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the world's largest inland delta. 

Home to some of the world's most endangered species, the Okavango Delta contains meandering reed-lined waterways – the perfect location for guests to enjoy a river safari by motorboat or traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). Camp Okavango also offers daily game drives through the environment where guests can spot elephants, lions, zebras, hyena, giraffes, and more! For those spending three nights or more, Camp Okavango has a sleep-out deck where guests can spend a night beneath the stars as they listen to the wildlife roaming.
