The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) announced the dates for the 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) in Nadi, Fiji, from May 9-10, 2025, following the success of the SPTE 2024 held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau in Nadi. This aligns with other major trade events in the region: Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2025: 28th April – 01st May; TRENZ 2025: 06th – 08th May; and SPTE 2025: 09th – 10th May.
SPTE presents a unique opportunity for stakeholders in the tourism industry to come together and explore new avenues for collaboration and growth. This will be the 9th SPTE and the second time the event will be held in Fiji after six successful years in Australia and New Zealand.
As preparations are underway for SPTE 2025, stakeholders can look forward to resources on the event website to facilitate their participation. This milestone event promises to bring about positive change within the tourism industry, setting new standards for excellence and collaboration across the region.
In the upcoming months, SPTO will update the SPTE website with extensive resources for partners interested in participating in the event.
SPTO Chief Executive, Mr Christopher Cocker, emphasized that SPTO was committed to delivering a world-class event for its members and Pacific tourism stakeholders.
Mr Cocker mentioned that the commitment and collaboration shown by Fiji's Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MTCA) emphasized the importance of bringing key players in the industry together to drive innovation and sustainable growth and further strengthen their dedication to supporting the development of tourism across the Pacific.
“This will be the 9th SPTE event and will be hosted again in Fiji next year. I thank the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, and the SPTO Marketing Board Subcommittee for their guidance and support. SPTE is our flagship event, and we are excited to bring it back to Fiji and the Pacific in 2025. A venue for the event is yet to be confirmed and the most appropriate regarding availability and floor space,” Mr Cocker said.
