Attractions For All Interests
For some family-fun, Downtown Newport's newest attraction Save The Bay's Hamilton Family Aquarium has opened following a three-year, multi-million dollar renovation producing a one-of-a-kind facility perfect for families and adults of all ages. With over a dozen exhibits that focus on the Bay's habitats—from the rocky shore to its deeper waters—the Aquarium offers 7,000-square-feet of discovery opportunities, complete with three touch tanks, and even an augmented reality watershed model. For some outdoor fun, Newport Mini Golf which debuted in late 2023, is the region's only mini golf experience and is a great addition to a Classic Coast getaway. If you're looking for more of a high-culture experience, after five years on Bradford St. in Provincetown, MA, owner and artist Curtis Speer has opened his CUSP fine art gallery in the heart of Newport. The gallery's core mission revolves around providing emerging artists with a platform to exhibit their work and take bold creative strides. And lastly, no trip to The Classic Coast is complete with a downtown shopping trip. For wearable souvenirs we suggest checking out Tatters in Warren. Located in a converted church, this handmade clothing store and afternoon tearoom is a world of unique atmosphere and historic charm. Additionally check out The Sundance Company new brick and mortar for unique hand-designed swimsuits heading into the warm season.
