SeaLink Whitsundays is pleased to announce that as of 1 June 2024, its newest vessel, the Osprey, has begun offering bespoke tours along with its national award-winning partner brands Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jetski Tours to guests staying on Hayman Island.
Hayman Island, the northernmost of the Whitsunday Islands, spans 294 hectares of private paradise. Island guests can now book a variety of exciting experiences including snorkelling adventures, thrilling jet ski tours, and relaxing cruises to the iconic Whitehaven Beach with its pristine crescent-shaped white silica beaches and stunning blue crystal-clear waters. Additionally, guests can explore the vibrant marine life and stunning underwater landscapes of the Outer Great Barrier Reef.
Donna Gauci, CEO of SeaLink Marine & Tourism, stated, “This is an exciting time for guests on Hayman Island and for SeaLink Whitsundays. By integrating the award-winning experiences from Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jetski Tours, which we acquired in February, we now offer a synergistic range of tours, experiences, cruises, and high-end charters, ensuring guests enjoy unparalleled access to this beautiful region.”
Arpad Romandy, General Manager of Hayman Island, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: "We are delighted to collaborate with the national award-winning team from SeaLink Whitsundays, Red Cat Adventures, and Whitsundays Jetski Tours. This partnership enhances the exceptional service and unforgettable adventures we already provide at Hayman Island."
Custom-built for SeaLink Marine & Tourism, the Osprey boasts a versatile design ideal for exploring the Whitsunday Islands. It offers the flexibility of open-air cruising or a partially/fully enclosed experience for added comfort.
With a sleek 12-metre design and a capacity for up to 26 guests, the Osprey is perfect for day tours and private charters, including family reunions, wedding parties, and corporate events. Cruising at 26 knots and powered by triple 300hp Yamaha engines, the Osprey delivers an exhilarating ride or a more leisurely cruise, catering to all preferences.
Feedback from guests has been extremely positive. Hayman Island guest Danish Chandwani shared his experience on 3 June: "It was a fantastic trip. I had an amazing time and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hayman Island."
SeaLink Whitsundays has operated the Hayman Island Ferry services for the past four years, transporting guests and visitors via three luxurious vessels: Sun Harmony, Sun Serenity, and Sun Symphony.
SeaLink Whitsundays, Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jetski Tours all proudly boast Ecotourism Australia’s Advanced ECO Certification, highlighting a dedication to sustainable practices and authentic nature-based tourism experiences. This eco certification reflects an ongoing commitment to responsible tourism and the preservation of the pristine beauty of the Whitsundays for generations to come.
