The fields begin to awaken in mid-April. By late-June through to early August the fields transform into a sea of purple. There is nothing quite like standing in this breath-taking landscape inhaling the intense aroma. The Lavender Fields are perfect for bringing friends and families together to reconnect with each other and nature. It is also a very dog friendly place, so your four-legged friend won't miss out on the experience.
There is a popular coffee shop onsite; however, visitors to the Lavender Fields are also welcome to bring their own picnic. With entry to the fields costing just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children it makes for a very reasonably priced summer day out. Every child ticket purchased includes a bug hunt kit to keep the little visitors entertained.
The Lavender Fields are governed by mother nature, and they only open to the public when the blooms are ready. The fields themselves may be open seasonably, however, the on-site shop is open all year round (expect January). They offer a chance to indulge in a variety of lavender-based products. There is also a selection of products crafted by other Hampshire producers and lavender themed giftware. It is also the place to stock up on a wide variety of lavender plants for your own garden with expert guidance always on hand. Many of the shop's products are also available in their online shop.
The coffee shop is also open all year round and has amazing views across the fields, even out of season. It serves delicious cakes, freshly brewed hot drinks, cold drinks and ice creams, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
