This month, W Sydney launches its new 'Cellar to City' Wine Series, featuring dinners created in collaboration with some of Australia's best winemakers. W Sydney will host the dinners at BTWN, the hotel's contemporary Australian restaurant situated 'between' the sweeping expressways and overlooking Darling Harbour.

Partnering with BTWN is a stellar line-up of winemakers including Tyrrell's Wines, de Beaurepaire Wines, Henschke and a collective joyfully entitled Winemakers We Love. A series of four not-to-be-missed dinners is planned in the coming months, kicking off with a dinner in collaboration with the legendary Tyrrell's Wines. Menus will reflect BTWN's focus on beautiful, seasonal and sustainable produce and hero exceptional local producers, with Head Chef Chris Dodd working hand-in-glove with the winemakers to create magical pairings for the exceptional wines on show.

The first Cellar to City dinner of the series will take place on Thursday 20th June. Just 30 guests will join this exclusive culinary journey hosted at BTWN's private dining space over three hours. Leading this celebration of local flavours and wines is Mark Richardson, Winemaker behind one of Australia's most revered wine estates, Tyrrell's Wines, and BTWN Head Chef, Chris Dodd. Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner crafted together by the winemaker and chef, inspired by the rich flavours of New South Wales.

Those lucky enough to join the dinner will experience the fabled Tyrrell's Winemakers Selection portfolio. Each wine is estate-grown on blocks that show the best of the house style, and the evening includes an exclusive first tasting of Tyrrell's newest releases, the Vat 9 Shiraz and Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet. Guests at the first dinner will feast on a bespoke menu including Coral Trout Crudo with Citrus Ponzu, Purple Shiso, and Pickled Daikon; Bangalow sweet Pork with Caramelised Onion and Grilled Leek; and Heidi Tilsit with Malfroy's Wild Honey, Candied Pecans and Quince.
