Hoshino Resorts 1955 Tokyo Bay will open its doors to guests on June 20, 2024, in the Maihama and Shin-Urayasu area of Chiba Prefecture.
Inspired by the United States décor in 1955 when the world's first Disneyland® opened, the hotel will provide convenient and comfortable stays for guests visiting Tokyo Disney Resort®.
The 1950s was a significant period of societal change and unprecedented economic growth in the United States that is often referred to as the Golden Age. With the concept of appreciating the good old days, the hotel's interior design captures the magic of this era so that the fun doesn't have to end when leaving the theme parks.
Children and adults alike will love the retro themed rooms and facilities taking them back to the year 1955 when the very first Disneyland® opened in Anaheim, California.
Hoshino Resorts 1955 Tokyo Bay is confident in offering a convenient end-to-end experience for its guests. Guests can simply check-in and check-out using a tablet and will receive their room key from 3:00 PM onwards. A free shuttle bus runs between the hotel and the theme park and requires no reservation. Families with babies and young children can also access a full range of amenities for a complete worry-free experience.
The “2nd Room” is a public space accessible to guests 24 hours a day, including before check-in and after check-out. This room plays music reminiscent of the United States back in 1955 while its interior showcases mid-century colours that were popular at the time. With an area for guests to take off their shoes and unwind, it allows for relaxation upon arrival and before departure.
Guests can also experience the atmosphere of 1950s America from the comfort of their room. With 638 rooms across 23 different room types, the wallpaper, carpet, and furnishings feature bold combinations of calm tones reflective of America's Golden Age.
The hotel aims to ensure all guests can enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling stay by offering various dining options from early morning until late evening. The cafeteria serves freshly prepared meals for late arriving guests, offering everything from rice bowls to hot and cold deli items.
The Restaurant serves a breakfast buffet from 6:00 AM so that guests with an early departure can be energised for the day. There is also a 24-hour Food & Drink Station next to the 2nd Room where snacks, light meals, and beverages can be purchased at any time.
Japan's proximity and close time zone have long propelled Australians to frequent the country. Its safety, convenient public transport, cuisine, and attractions also hold strong appeal. Instead of venturing to the USA or Europe for the opportunity to visit Disney theme parks, Australian families can benefit from a more cost-effective holiday to Japan. Furthermore, Tokyo Disney Sea is the only theme park of its kind and is unique to Japan.

About Hoshino Resorts
Hoshino Resorts was first established as a Japanese inn/ryokan in 1914 in Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture before it began the operation of other resorts in Japan. Today, it has evolved into a highly influential hotel management company and is run by 4th-generation family member Yoshiharu Hoshino. Providing a unique experience focused on the local charms of each destination and a high level of omotenashi, Japanese-style hospitality, the company has expanded rapidly out of Karuizawa since 2001 and now operates more than 60 accommodations both in and outside Japan with one of the following categories: luxury hotel brand “HOSHINOYA,” hot spring ryokan brand “KAI,” countryside resort hotel brand “RISONARE,” city tourism hotel brand “OMO,” free-spirited hotel brand “BEB,” or other unique lodgings.
