Introducing the Lex's New Seasonal Menu: A Culinary Spectacular Where Brisbane and New York City Intersect

W Brisbane's signature restaurant, The Lex, renowned for fusing locally sourced ingredients with the spirit of New York City, is introducing a new seasonal menu. With a focus on experimentation, quality, and flavour, the autumn menu promises to captivate diners with its creative interpretations of classic favorites allowing each dish to tell its own story.  

The Scallops Rockefeller entree offers a playful variation of the classic Oyster Rockefeller dish, with grilled scallops adding a distinct smokey aroma to enhance their natural sweetness, and compliment the rich spinach and herb topping. 

A must have menu item, the Dry-Aged Warwick MB3+ Tomahawk Steak is presented tableside for a touch of the theatric, and comes served with a herb & green leaf salad, and one sauce and one side of choice. A true testament to culinary integrity, The Lex employs an array of captivating grilling techniques to elevate each dish to new heights, with the use of an in-house dry ager imparting a depth of flavour to the Dry-Aged Warwick MB3+ Tomahawk Steak (dry aged for 21-45 days). 

Local Reef Fish of The Day, is exemplary of quality locally-sourced seafood paired with char-grilled gem hearts that imbue the dish with a nuanced smokiness reminiscent of the bustling grilling culture of New York City. To complement, a citrus herb butter sauce imparts a burst of brightness, enhancing the delicate taste of the fish and ice plant. 

Other menu highlights include the unexpected fusion of comfort food and luxury dining with Tater Tots topped with Caviar, and the Hiramasa Kingfish brined with Yuzu and Miso, served with Umami Mayonnaise, Pickled Jalapeno and Bagel Crumbs, showcasing a creative fusion of Japanese and New York flavours. 

Rounding off the menu on a sweet note, the Baked Vanilla Cheesecake with Cornflake Crunch and House-Made Blueberry Ice Cream is The Lex's playful twist on the classic New York cheesecake, invoking a sense of nostalgia through the delightful twist of the cornflake crunch.  

Throughout dinner, embark on a journey of New York by savouring the essence of classic American whiskeys. Indulge in cocktails inspired by the diverse flavours of the city's five boroughs. The Manhattan cocktail boasts bold, dry and matured flavours, combining Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey, Antica Formula Vermouth, Carpano Dry Vermouth, Bitters, Red Miso and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry, whilst the Queens cocktail keeps it aromatic, zesty and mellow, incorporating Knob Creek 9 Year Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, Orange Marmalade, Lemon and Mint. 

Perfect for celebrating events with friends and family, The Lex offers 2, 3 and 4 course menus for groups of 10 - 24 guests. Groups of 25-70 guests can enjoy semi-private dining spaces and set menus offering Housemade Foccacia, Hiramasa Kingfish, Pork Belly, Local Reef Fish Of The Day, White Pyrenees Lamb Rump, Whipped Potatoes, Herb & Green Leaf Salad, Peanut Butter Chocolate Bombe and Baked Vanilla Cheesecake.  

Larger functions like weddings - from formal multi-course sit-down banquets to large cocktail events - come to life with live chef stations and roaming canapes.  

Akin to the sky-high restaurants of New York offering panoramic views of the Hudson River, The Lex boasts its own idyllic skyline vistas overlooking the iconic Brisbane River. The Lex is open for dinner service,  Monday - Saturday nights from 5:30pm - 9pm Monday - Thursday and 5:30pm - 10pm Friday & Saturday.
