Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is opening its spa doors to non-residents, inviting them to enjoy a luxurious new experience where they spend an afternoon in the property's recently opened Spa Space. Guests can relax with spa experiences, before they indulge themselves at SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel, the property's fine dining restaurant, which recently retained its Michelin star for the second year running.  

The Spa & SOURCE experience at Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is one of just a handful of spa days in the UK to be combined with a Michelin star​ ​menu for the ultimate afternoon; it's also one of the very few to include treatments. Couples, friends, siblings, or a fabulous mother/daughter pamper session, the Spa & SOURCE experience is ideal for any special occasion, or simply 'just because'. 

The itinerary includes a late afternoon arrival at the property's elegant Spa Space, which opened in 2022 as part of an ongoing renovation programme at Gilpin Hotel. Here, guests can enjoy a glass of Champagne while relaxing in the spa's cedar wood hot tubs, which have been ideally positioned with a vantage point that frames breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. 

A 50-minute indulgent ESPA or Pure Lakes treatment is to follow, before time to dress for dinner and a reservation at one of the region's most sought-after restaurants, just a stone's throw away from the hillside spa location.  

SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel presents a divine dining experience and a seasonal menu bursting with fresh Lake District produce. 

Chef Ollie Bridgwater is making a name for himself within the Lake District food scene for his seasonal menus that feature Japanese influences and extraordinary twists and turns throughout every course, including desserts with surprising savoury notes such as White Chocolate with Caviar. Incorporating the chef's three-Michelin star background as sous chef at The Fat Duck in Bray, the food at SOURCE is precise, highly technical and full of flavour.

2:45pm: Arrival at Spa Space 

3:00pm: Hot tubs with glass of champagne  

4:00pm: 50-minute spa treatment 

5:00pm / 5:15pm: Changing room time 

6:00pm: Dinner in SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel to include three courses, snack, bread & pre-dessert.
