For those looking for something a little more luxurious, Lara Ann Main, the head of the entertainment and Kids Club, suggests El Higueron. Serving delectable seafood dishes of Lobster and Prawns as well as its delicious Asturian fabada grilled octopus, guests won't want to miss out! For a day out, Creative Services Manager, Claire Simons suggests Malaga's Antigua Casa de Guardia - the Old Guard House, for a fun wine-tasting experience. Guests looking to experience the scenic views of the Costa del Sol can visit Vanesa's favourite hiking spot, Puerto Rico. Known as the “gateway to the sun”, Puerto Rico has an incredible coastline and is steeped in colonial history, boasting spectacular ruins and a diverse landscape for visitors to enjoy. Guests looking for a more challenging hike will enjoy Nicky Graydon's, Purchasing and Despatch Manager, favourite trail, Sendero Pico Mijas. With several routes to take, visitors can spend their whole day hiking whilst enjoying some peace and quiet away from the busy town as well as overlooking the green mountains of Malaga. Guests looking for a more leisurely walk can enjoy the sandy beaches of the Costa del Sol, just a short stroll away from the property. Make sure to look out for the resident dolphins dancing in the surf! 

Secret Sunsets

For travellers looking to find that perfect sunset shot, IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts has guests covered. Lara suggests Estupa Benalmadena, a beautiful Buddhist temple that overlooks the peaceful landscape of Malaga. This small cove is surrounded by rich green trees and a blanket of white sand, overlooking the deep blue sea.  For another hidden gem, Lara suggests Playa de Maro, a small beach that is considered one of Andalucia's most perfect beaches. Located under the grassy hills on the Nerja Cliffs and complete with crystal waters, this is the ultimate secret escape for those looking for a quiet spot to relax or those who want to make the most of the clear water to do a spot of snorkelling. Guests wanting to enjoy a more bustling beach atmosphere can enjoy the Playa del Charcón just a stroll away from Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol.
