This month, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) made their debut appearance at IMM Germany, the leading global networking event where hundreds of global brands and media came together to connect and discuss all things travel amongst leaders within the industry.
Following successful attendance at IMM London the Cayman Islands (CIDOT) wanted to make a splash at IMM Berlin by sponsoring this year's cocktail reception and providing visitors with an additional opportunity to learn more about the luxury Caribbean destination. Elevating the experience, the Cayman Islands also invited Seven Fathoms Rum – an artisanal premium rum distilled exclusively in the Cayman Islands - to host an exclusive rum tasting having recently launched into the German market.
The cocktail reception and rum tasting provided ample opportunity for CIDOT to look ahead and showcase what their tri-island destination has to offer. Welcoming guests to discuss their luxury proposition across Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman the team provided information on new hotel openings, including VIDA and Hotel Indigo both set to open this year, activities on offer and their eco-sustainable initiatives. The event was a huge success and provided CIDOT with the chance to reinforce its position as a premium holiday destination.
