Discover Adventure, an adventure travel company, specialising in global charity fundraising challenges, is proud to announce its commitment to the World Land Trust's Buy an Acre Programme, safeguarding 30 acres of land and its inhabitants to commemorate their 30th anniversary. This initiative is part of Discover Adventure's dedication to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity renowned for protecting some of the world's most critical and endangered habitats. Through its Buy an Acre programme, WLT collaborates with a global network of trusted partners to purchase and preserve land under threat from deforestation, urbanisation, and agriculture. This strategic approach helps safeguard biodiversity whilst also supporting the local communities who manage the land that they know best. Additionally, the protection of primary forests aids in storing and removing harmful carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, contributing to the fight against climate change. 

Sir David Attenborough, Patron of World Land Trust, has praised the organisation, stating stated, “The money that is given to World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world that almost anything I can think of.”

Discover Adventure, celebrating three decades of providing participants with unforgettable travel experiences, has chosen to mark their 30th birthday by supporting WLT's mission. The company's donation will contribute to the protection of 30 acres, symbolising the 30 years of operation and reinforcing their commitment to environmental responsibility.

WLTorld Land Trust, in collaboration with the global network of partner organisations, funds the creation of reserves and provides permanent protection of habitats and wildlife. Discover Adventure's support with will add to the impressive 2,835,984 acres of habitat protected by WLT to date, with ongoing projects including the Atlantic Forest in Brazil and Dakatcha Woodland in Kenya.

Discover Adventure's commitment to environmental sustainability extends beyond this donation. When booking a trip with the company, participants will have the option to support the WLTorld Land Trust, allowing them to actively contribute to global conservation efforts.
