Melbourne, Australia – March 2024: In celebration of the Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street (HMLQS) partnership with Melbourne Food And Wine Festival (MFWF), the hotel will be serving up delectable menu items and deliciously drinkable cocktails requested by the food festiva'ls star chefs.
A series of dishes and cocktail favourites from the chefs who will be here for the festival – Sarah Cicolini from Roman trattoria, Santo Palato, Neil Perry from award-winning Double Bay restaurant, Margaret and Dan Hong, Executive Chef of Merivale Group (Mr Wong's, Ms G's, Queen Chow's, MuMu4u, Establishment Sydney) will be on offer throughout the festival.
HMLQS' MFWF inspired menu items will be available from Thursday, 14 to Sunday, 24 March, and will include:
- Cicolini's favourite lunchtime snack – an Italian piadina filled with parma ham, truffle mayo and rocket ($24)
- Dan Hong-inspired ebi fry sandwich – panko-crusted prawns cutlets sandwiched in a fluffy brioche bun, layered with shredded cabbage and a rich tartare sauce ($10)
- For those who like to enjoy delicious treats (or a late night snack) without leaving their rooms, HMLQS' in room menu will include Hong's dish – Wagyu Jjapaguri, a Korean noodle dish made by with combination of Stone Axe Full Blood Wagyu oyster blade steak, MBS 9+, egg noodles, black bean oyster sauce, sesame oil and spring onion ($48)
- Providing the perfect accompaniment, HMLQS will be serving up Cicolini's favourite tipple, a Dirty Dry Gin Martini – Dutch Rules Australian Gin, smoked olive brine, Sicilian olives, stirred and served up ($24)
- Hong's concoction, a Yuzu Highball, featuring Japanese rice vodka, Yuzushu, red shiso, shaken, served long over ice ($24)
- Perry's Margaret-inspired, Victorian Negroni – Melbourne Gin Co, Campari, Soma Victorian Vermouth, stirred, served over ice ($24)
- To finish, Cicolini's salted caramel fig crostata – roasted figs in salted caramel with ricotta wrapped in Hilton's own leavened dough and garnished with fresh fruit will provide the perfect sweet end to the evening ($12)
In celebration of the partnership with MFWF, festival attendees will also have access to an exclusive HMLQS hotel room offer, with those who purchase any MFWF ticket receiving 20 percent off the base hotel room rate between March 14 - 25 March.
