A collective of quality, authentic, Aboriginal-guided tourism offerings, Discover Aboriginal Experiences is delighted to enter 2024 with a stellar roster of 48 members offering more than 200 experiences across a portfolio that covers Australia.
The newest members to enter the collective include Mabu Buru Tours and Kimberley Cultural Adventures, both in Western Australia; Budj Bim Cultural Landscape Tourism in Victoria; Southern Cultural Immersion in South Australia; and Jarramali Rock Art Tours in Queensland.
“We are delighted to welcome new and returning members to the Discover Aboriginal Experiences portfolio,” says Nicole Mitchell, Executive Officer Discover Aboriginal Experiences. “The continued growth of the collective is evidence of the ongoing consumer demand for quality, immersive, Aboriginal-guided experiences that reveal 65,000 years of culture. It's also evidence of the innovation and foresight of Aboriginal-owned and -operated businesses across the country.”
Journalists and trade can take a deep dive into the DAE collective via the freshly launched 2024 Discover Aboriginal Experiences Media Kit, which contains a comprehensive portfolio of stories and ideas to inspire features and offer insights into Australia's rich history and the world's oldest living cultures. The Media Kit is available under the Trade & Media hub on the website in both PDF and word format here.
In the media kit, journalists and trade can find carefully curated stories and ideas including:
- Thematic journeys: Whether active adventures, nature and wildlife, culinary experiences, exclusive accommodation, art and museums, immersive journeys, bush and outback.
- Story ideas: Designed to be used to inspire features on topics including Aboriginal archaeology, diverse cultural identities, Dreamtime stories and sacred Aboriginal sites.
