To mark its six-year milestone, Vakkaru Maldives is pleased to reveal six recent developments at the resort, providing enhanced experiences for guests, especially with the growing demands of the family market in mind. 

1.  Luxury redefined with new Three- and Four-bedroom Beach Pool Residence

This new Residence can be adapted to guests' preferences, making it an ideal choice for families or groups seeking an elevated beach getaway. The main two-bedroom Residence has a large 42-sqm swimming pool and a spacious terrace, with an outdoor gazebo overlooking the Indian Ocean. The third and fourth bedrooms are separate Beach Villas with private Plunge Pools that can be connected to the main Residence. 

2. Enhanced Two Bedroom Beach Residences and Villas

The resort's two-bedroom Residences have been upgraded to now boast newly built indoor living lounges, providing additional relaxation space for guests. The Beach Pool Villas have also been upgraded to include larger swimming pools for an even more luxurious, private swimming experience.

3. Multiple wins at World Travel Awards 2023

Endorsing Vakkaru Maldives' position as a leading luxury resort for the fourth consecutive year, Vakkaru Maldives has been recognised with multiple awards at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2023. These include:

4. On resort photo studio 

The newly constructed photo studio by Yash Lightroom offers guests unique opportunities to plan personalised, professional photoshoots to capture cherished memories, whether it be their wedding, honeymoon or family holiday.

5. New marine experiences

The resort has introduced an array of new marine experiences led by new marine biologist, Lydia Glinski. The programmes are designed for young explorers and adults including “Be A Marine Biologist for a Day,” and dedicated PADI speciality diving courses, as well as a Coral Adoption programme.

6. Key appointments in Sales and Marketing team

Entering its sixth year, Vakkaru Maldives announced two key appointments to its Sales and Marketing team. Joining the resort as Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing is Sian Thomas, with over two decades of experience and having previously served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at leading luxury resorts in the Maldives and Dubai. Also new to the resort is Director of Sales, Afaag Ibrahim, a Maldivian with a great reputation and exceptional leadership skills.
