Skyros Holidays, the leading provider of transformative writing retreats, is proud to mark its 45th anniversary with a special celebration of its acclaimed writing programme. This year's programme highlights the legacy of the Skyros Writers' Lab, a sanctuary for storytelling and literary excellence. It has hosted a constellation of literary stars, Steven Berkoff, Rachel Billington, Margaret Drabble, Hanif Kureishi, D M Thomas, Sue Townsend, Marina Warner, Hugo Williams and many others, including Booker and Pulitzer Prize winners such as Hilary Mantel, James Kelman, Barry Unsworth, Bernice Rubens and Alison Lurie, whose workshops have inspired participants to explore and refine their craft amidst the idyllic Greek island setting. The nurturing environment and expert guidance have often been a turning point in many writers' careers.

As part of the celebration, Skyros is delighted to introduce a series of special anniversary writing retreats, led by a selection of distinguished authors and mentors. These retreats will not only honour the past but also usher in the next chapter of Skyros's literary journey, inviting new voices to be discovered and established ones to delve deeper into their art.
