Holiday Inn, a part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled a giant 4.5-metre LEGO® Christmas tree now on display at in Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong , continuing the brand's promise to create moments of delight. The perfect backdrop for a festive photo with friends or family, the tree is adorned with a variety of LEGO® decorations including gingerbread men, snowdrops, and candy canes, with beautifully gift-wrapped presents below. In addition to the magical LEGO® Christmas tree, all Holiday Inn hotels across Australia and New Zealand will continue to spread the joy with LEGO® kits gifted to families upon check-in*, from Christmas through the new year while stocks last, designed to delight and encourage genuine connection.

Dean Jones, Vice President Commercial, Japan, Australasia, Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts says: “Holiday Inn and LEGO® are two of the world's most recognisable brands that continue to play a role in building memories based on connectivity and creative possibility. There's a wonderful playfulness at the heart of the LEGO® Christmas tree and we're thrilled to bring a little extra joy to guests at one of our newest Holiday Inn destinations.”

The Christmas tree activation supports Holiday Inn's global promise to make travel memorable, while its location in Geelong showcases the brand's evolution journey in delivering modern new-look spaces. The recently introduced 'Open Lobby' concept is a complete overhaul of the traditional hotel lobby format and works by combining all public spaces – from the hotel's reception to the restaurant, bar and lounge – into one open, cohesive space to socialise and unwind. Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong and Holiday Inn Dandenong, both opened in 2023, are the latest Holiday Inn hotels to boast the new look and feel.

There are currently 15 open Holiday Inn hotels in Australia with more than five Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels to open in the next five to six years. Since the doors of the first Holiday Inn opened in 1952, there are now almost 1,200 Holiday Inn destinations across the globe, making it one of the most iconic brands in the world.

The giant LEGO® Christmas tree is available to view at Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong now until the end of the year.
