Renowned TV chef Nigella Lawson annually chooses the city for her winter break and is set to share its gems in the upcoming Nigella Lawson's Amsterdam Christmas Special. Adding to the festive charm, THE ENTOURAGE GROUP, Amsterdam's premier hospitality provider, presents sophisticated festive menus across its venues, ranging from vibrant Asian-fusion at IZAKAYA to artfully designed Holiday Afternoon Tea at Michelin-starred restaurant THE DUCHESS. Visit early December to be immersed in Dutch tradition with the celebration of Sinterklaas on the 5th December - a day of feasting and gift-giving on the eve of Saint Nicholas Day.

Christmas at THE DUCHESS

Experience the Michelin-starred excellence of THE DUCHESS. Nestled within the historic former KAS Bank, this venue offers more than just a meal; it promises a culinary journey within a captivating ambiance. The setting is enhanced by a grand tea room, where this Christmas, food transforms into art. Delicate sweet treats, reminiscent of ornate Christmas decorations, will be  meticulously crafted by pâtissiers and available from December 6th to 31st. 

From 24th - 26th December THE DUCHESS offers a Christmas sharing menu featuring exquisite dishes. Start with a refreshing Bloody Mary Oyster palette cleanser and move on to elegant starters like Tuna Tartare with pistachio and a cranberry-tomato chutney. The main event is a rich Beef Wellington accompanied by truffle mash and grilled tender stem, followed by the divine Bouche Noel dessert. Vegetarian diners can indulge in a carefully prepared sharing menu, featuring standout dishes such as Hispy Cabbage with a light side of peas and chives. Especially for Sinterklaas on 5th December, diners can conclude feasts with a Christmas twist on THE DUCHESS' classic – the Sinterklaas Chocolate Explosion.

Christmas at IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar

Cosmopolitan-chic IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar, situated in the trendy De Pijp district of Amsterdam is renowned for its Japanese-South American fusion flavors. IZAKAYA will offer an Omakase Christmas menu from December 24th to 26th. Highlights include Venison Fillet with salify chips and a punchy wasabi-pepper sauce and Chilean Seabass in a black bean and miso sauce plus a classic selection of hand-rolled sushi. The IZAKAYA Omakase menu is priced at 125 euros per person. Especially for Sinterklaas, IZAKAYA will be putting a festive spin on an Asian classic with a sweet Sinterklaas Mochi dessert available for a limited time only.

This Christmas, savor Thin Slices of Yellowtail with vibrant coriander, chilli & yuzu soy, Lamb Yakiniku with black aubergine, and Venison with truffle teriyaki and grilled eringi, among other delights.
