SwimTrek are delighted to announce our new ownership of the Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim in partnership with Sponge Marketing and Events Ltd.. Together, we will be jointly taking over this extraordinary island-to-island crossing from Winston Crooke, who founded and nurtured the event for the past two decades.

Now, the Cross Channel Swim is set to undergo an exhilarating transformation. We aim to elevate this race to legendary status, attracting more swimmers from around the world as part of our ongoing global expansion. This partnership invites new opportunities to showcase an already historic event to a wider audience, securing a place among the best known international swimming competitions.

Enter warm, tropical waters, teeming with sea life, and take on an iconic cross channel swim between two sister islands in the Caribbean. The swim itself is an 2.5-mile (4.1 km) crossing from sandy Oualie Beach on Nevis to Cockleshell Beach on St Kitts. The swim starts at 7:00am and threads across the tropical 'Narrows', which separate the two islands. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event, included in the World Open Water Swimming Association's Top 100 Most Iconic Swims

Over the years, this world-class event has already grown in stature, both regionally and globally, with participants drawn from far and wide to thread their way across the 'Narrows'. We are thrilled to play a bigger role in 2024, during the next stage of the swim's evolution. SwimTrek are the world's pioneer of swimming holidays and we will channel 20 years of expertise into giving swimmers a memory they'll never forget. For the past 7 years, SwimTrek have run small group swimming holidays to these Caribbean islands. This is also a chance for us to expand our portfolio of international swim races, which includes the 'World's Oldest Swim' across the Turkish Hellespont from Europe to Asia.

The 2024 event will be the 23rd year of the event and another annual challenge for open water swimmers. We aim to make this a very special year for participants and spectators alike. Join word-class athletes and adventure-seeking swimmers in tropical Caribbean waters and soak up the camaraderie and spirit of adventure as we showcase the unique beauty of Nevis and St. Kitts.
