The Ritz-Carlton, Perth has transformed their idyllic rooftop bar overlooking the Swan River, Songbird, this Spring. From October 26th until November 20th Songbird will be adorned with bright everlasting daisies, a native flower emblematic of Western Australia - often spotted lining the vast expanses of the Western Australian countryside in the Spring. 

From a major floral wall and hanging installations, to tabletop arrangements, guests of Songbird will be surrounded by everlastings, commonly known as paper daisies that transport them momentarily to Western Australia's fields of iconic pink-hued native flowers. True to the hotel's commitment to bringing to life the story of Western Australia, the takeover is a way of connecting interstate and international guests to quintessential WA touchpoints as part of their stay.   

The takeover fittingly coincides with the launch of the new All Nippon Airways flight launch with a new direct path venturing from Perth to Tokyo this October, making this the perfect opportunity for new visitors to experience the native offerings that make up the beauty of Western Australia. 

Also launching to coincide with the everlastings floral pop-up, Songbird has partnered with Rainfall Distillery to create a bespoke gin that will be exclusively available at Songbird. The specialty gin has been distilled with native botanicals of pink finger lime, Geraldton wax, pepi leaf and sea parsley to produce a balanced mix of playful and zesty flavours.   

Using the bespoke Rainfall gin and inspired by the beauty of the everlastings flower, Songbird mixologists have curated a signature cocktail, Eternal Bloom, which blends the sweet notes of cherries with the fresh botanicals of the gin. The gin, white vermouth, lime, maraschino liqueur and Amarena syrup come together to create a blend that transcends expectations. 

Adding to Songbird's signature menu, which is inspired by its namesake and features cocktails paying homage to the native birds that grace our skies, a selection of Rainfall gin & tonic pairings will be available. The Classic blend hones in on the flavours of the gin botanicals to create a perfect symphony of taste. For a more sophisticated twist, the Grapefruit and Rosemary tonic and gin combination artfully elevates the savoury notes of the gin while enhancing the distinctive notes of pepi leaf and sea parsley. Finally, the vibrant fusion of Blood Orange and Elderflower tonic and gin provides a refreshing medley that accentuates the fresh, zesty notes of finger lime and Geraldton wax.
