Accor, the largest hotel operator in Australia, is thrilled to announce that its teams achieved outstanding recognition at the prestigious Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence, an annual event recognising the best in the industry.
The Victorian Accommodation for Excellence Awards, jointly organised by Tourism Accommodation Australia Victoria (TAA, Vic) and the Accommodation Association (AA), aim to acknowledge outstanding hotels and restaurants throughout the state. The winners are selected after anonymous judges' property visits, with recognition reserved for venues that consistently deliver top-tier service and exceptional experiences that wow the judges.
The accolades presented to Accor included Hotel Restaurant of the Year for Miss Mi Melbourne, Hotel Engineer of the Year for Mel Maio, of Novotel and ibis Melbourne Central, and Hotel Concierge of the Year was awarded to Toby Lier of Pullman Melbourne on the Park.
In a highly competitive field of exceptional hotel restaurants across Victoria, Miss Mi emerged as The Hotel Restaurant of the Year. The award bestowed upon Miss Mi Melbourne is a testament to its culinary excellence and impeccable dining experience. With its innovative menu and exceptional service, Miss Mi Melbourne has firmly established itself as the leading dining destination in the heart of Melbourne.
Mel Maio, the deserving recipient of the Hotel Engineer of the Year award, has showcased remarkable dedication and expertise in maintaining the highest standards of technical operations at Novotel and ibis Melbourne Central. Mel's commitment to excellence and innovative problem-solving abilities have undoubtedly contributed to the success and seamless operation of the hotels.

Toby's warm, friendly demeanour, extensive knowledge of the area, and unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction have made him an indispensable asset to the hotel and a beloved figure among guests.
