Global media and technology provider marked the milestone with a client and media appreciation luncheon.
TravMedia is the travel industry's only global network, connecting travel professionals, journalists, and media outlets worldwide. Founded by Nick Wayland, a former travel editor seeking an easier way to research and report travel news, travmedia.com was officially launched in 2000, dedicated to improving information flow to travel journalists.
"We are excited to celebrate our media and industry members to commemorate our 23 years of business." CEO & Founder Nick Wayland said. "Postponed for three years due to the pandemic, it was a wonderful opportunity to thank the many colleagues and journalists who supported us right from the very beginning."
In TravMedia's 23-year history, the platform has created thriving online communities, with more than 25,000 media and 20,000 PR members worldwide sharing press releases, stories, and ideas. The company delivers travel newswires in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, and Brazil. Over time, the platform has expanded to include travel plans, journalist callouts, media monitoring, and an influencer campaign manager.
Innovation has always been at the core of the company's culture. Food4Media was launched in 2003 and has become the go-to resource for restaurants and food and drink brands to secure top-level media coverage. TravMedia pioneered the technology that powers Property4Media.com and Homes4Media.com.
In 2010, TravMedia began managing the U.S. Travel Association's IPW Online Press Room, adding the IPW Online Marketplace in 2013. The company also powers the online press room for the Society of American Travel Writers and has provided event solutions for CLIA, GoMedia Canada Marketplace, ATE, AIME, Luxperience, and Brand USA.
In 2012, TravMedia launched International Media Marketplace (IMM), which has become the leading global travel industry event for travel brands and destinations to connect with the media. IMM hosts more than 2,500 media and international travel brands annually in six countries.
The TravMedia Summit was launched in 2017 to bring together travel PR professionals, editors, and writers to inspire ideas, share insights, and discuss the trends and challenges affecting our industry. Further global event launches include The TravMedia Awards, TravMedia Meets, and Virtual Trade Events to keep destinations in touch with international trade during the COVID pandemic.
Today, TravMedia remains a vital resource for travel professionals and journalists to connect and share stories about the world of travel.
