Umami Group launches brand new rooftop restaurant-bar; Tree House by UM in Palma

Press release, February 2023: Independently-owned, Mallorca-based hospitality group, the Umami Group, have announced its latest Balearic hotspot; Tree House by UM, Palma set to open next month. 

The new terrace restaurant-bar offers an elevated hospitality experience, quite literally, based on the 2nd floor of popular city centre spot, Moll Vell. With panoramic, 360-degree views overlooking Palma Old Town, the city's impressive marinia, cascading mountainous regions, and some of the city's most iconic, grandest sites, such as Palma Cathedral and Bellver Castle, beauty to behold completely surrounds the venue. Whilst the views are magnificent from open to close, the colourful skies of sunset further cement the experience as one to remember. 

To complement the postcard-perfect views is an indescribable vibe, fashioned by the carefully curated blend of beats, bites and tipples, synonymous across the Umami Group venues. 

Known for their unique, global sound, which captures the essence of island living, guests of Tree House can expect to groove to funky, soulful beats inspired by the jazz, disco, Latin and Afro-beats genres. The urban oasis will transport guests into the authentic Balearic mood; easy going, unpretentious yet playful.

Inspired by the flavours and textures of Far East cuisine, Tree House will serve up an impressive Japanese fusion menu in their 130 cover open-air restaurant. The menu is designed for the daring, surprising but classic dishes to suit every palate. Highlights will include a range of flavourful sushi, tartar, ceviche, and charcoal robata grill dishes, to name a few. Attentive, personalised service completes the relaxed dining experience, giving you more time to focus on your company and the city skyline views. 

Perfect to enjoy a casual drink and dance with friends, family and colleagues, unwind and refresh with a range of signature cocktails, spirits and fine selection of wines. 

The white washed terrace will be adorned with long light wood benches, rustic wooden flooring and romantically dimmed lighting. The neutral palette of Tree House blends beautifully amongst the city's marina, golden old town, green mountains and light blue sea.

Given the magical atmosphere and location, Tree House welcomes enquiries for private or semi-private space hire for corporate events, wedding receptions and special occasions. With a range of truly customisable packages tailored to the individual occasion, catering options include passed canapés, food market fare or set menus.
