Corsican Places has expanded its walking holidays adding four new tours for 2023. Customers can choose from 10 self-guided itineraries that take in some of Corsica’s most spectacular scenery and bucket-list adventures, with walking levels that range from leisurely to tough.

With over 35 years of expert knowledge of Corsica and a wide variety of package holidays in all regions, the tour operator’s walking collection encompasses some of Corsica’s finest opportunities, working directly with walking providers on the island. A wealth of marked trails ensures plenty of variety, and the operator’s specialist sales team can advise customers on the most suitable itineraries. Resort staff are also on hand while on the island. Flights into three airports—Calvi, Bastia, and Figari—are offered along with transfers and luggage delivery. Prices start at £1729 pp for its "Around Cap Corse" tour, which includes six days of hiking around the Cap Corse peninsula, a marine national park renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. 

New additions include:

Contrasts of South Corsica: a seven-night holiday combining five days of leisurely, self-guided walking along the footpaths and trails of Corsica's south-west corner, including a stay in a remote lighthouse. Walking begins from the island’s capital Ajaccio, finishing in the spectacular town of Bonifacio on Corsica’s southernmost tip, famed for its medieval clifftop citadel. Weekend departures are available between May and September, with packages from £2149 pp (two sharing). Prices include flights, all accommodation, transfers, map, and route notes as follows:

• Return flights to Figari
• Six nights’ accommodation (B&B)
• An overnight stay in a remote lighthouse (B&B)
• Return airport transfers and transfers on the walking days
• Luggage transfers between hotels (excluding lighthouse stay)
• Map and route notes

GR20 North: a seven-night bucket-list tour for seasoned hikers that includes six days of strenuous self-guided walking along one of Europe's most challenging treks. Considered one of best trails in the world, it cuts diagonally across the island. Prices are from £1495 pp including flights, all accommodation, luggage transfer (where possible) and train transfer. Starting from Vizzavona and finishing in Bonifacio, accommodation includes camping, simple refuges and shepherd’s cabins sleeping in shared dorms. Flights are offered in and out of Calvi with Sunday departures from June 4th to September 17th,2023. A 14-day trek from south to north is also available, or two shorter seven-night treks covering either half (north or south), with 24-hour assistance.
