And just like that (for any SATC fans out there)—the latest issue of get lost travel magazine is live, and it's a bumper. From the world's most epic chill thrills (AKA snow experiences) and a journey to Texan wine country to taking a Top End road trip like no other.
Issue 11 sees the get lost digital publication pull out all the video stops, utilising adventure videographers Tim Charody, Liam Neal and Roberto Serrini on assignments to Queensland, the Northern Territory and Texas respectively. This issue is packed with juicy storytelling and exceptional digital design.
Highlights of this issue include:
- 'Chill Thrills', a get lost guide to the world's most stoke-fuelled snow experiences, from reindeer herding to climbing African peaks.
- Photographer and Olympus Ambassador, Tiffany Taxis, gives an epic wildlife photography masterclass.
- Editor, Tayla Gentle, goes to the Barunga Festival, one of Australia's most unique cultural events.
- Adventurer, Tim Charody, goes on a pack-free odyssey across K'gari island.
- Journalist Roberto Serrini drinks his way through Grapefest in Grapevine, Texas, a town with no grapes but a wine festival like no other.
- A Cape Town culinary adventure; a real Brew-Haha (international brewery guide);
- A 'Hot Five' that celebrates some of the world's strangest animal migrations; and six new Weird & Wonderful stays from around the world.
- A look at the Green season in Thailand and a lowdown on where to avoid other tourists.
As with previous issues, global insurance company World Nomads and Olympus Cameras have joined as distribution partners to give the digital publication a global reach of over 1.5 million readers.
“We're very proud of this issue because of the quality of stories. This issue is telling some very important stories that are close to home – from the anniversary of the historic Barunga Statement to the K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) name change. As always these stories are heartfelt, but non-stop engaging in the true get lost way.” – Tayla Gentle, editor
