Stellar celebrity line up announced for Australia's First Wellness Tourism Summit in The Tweed

Australia's first Wellness Tourism Summit, designed to capitalise on the growing $436 billion-dollar global wellness tourism sector, has today revealed a stellar line of celebrity speakers and the full program for the event which is scheduled next month in The Tweed.

Seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley, and The Living Room's Barry Du Bois will both share their passion for wellness and travel as part of the Summits program just launched.

The extensive speaker lineup also includes international wellness experts Damian Chaparro, Co-creator of Aro Ha Wellness Retreat in New Zealand, Vikram Chuahan, Co-Founder of Quiet Parks International, John Nielson Five Elements Bali and Arnfinn Oines, Social and Environmental conscience at Soneva. Local wellness tourism experts include  Michael Lamprell, Managing Director of CABN, Charles Davidson, founder and chairman of Peninsula Hot Springs, Karen Golden Executive GM Tourism & Wellness - Belgravia Leisure and Neil Owen Co-founder, and director of Spa Vision to name just a few.

To be held on October 13 and 14, 2022 in The Tweed, New South Wales, the Wellness Tourism Summit is being convened by Katherine Droga, founder of Droga & co. and chair of the Global Wellness Institute's (GWI) Wellness Tourism Initiative.

The Summit will also release valuable wellness tourism research just conducted by the Global Wellness Institute's Wellness Tourism Initiative on wellness destination trends and consumer demand insights into wellness travel.

Layne Beachley, will be joining media and platinum Summit ticket holders at the gorgeous Farm & co. to officially kick off the program on the morning of October 13. All delegates will then convene at the beautiful beachside conference location, Mantra on Salt Beach at Kingscliff, and collect their Summit Tote Bag filled with wellness gifts, before attending the Welcome to Wellness in The Tweed networking function presented by the Summit's host destination partner the Tweed Tourism Company.

The full day conferencing program on Friday 14 October begins by prioritising the wellbeing of all delegates with a complimentary “Wake up to Wellness in The Tweed” program brought to you by ALL – Accor Live Limitless. Delegates will be spoilt for choice with Yoga Flow, Mindful Beach Walk, Bike Riding, Qigong, Awakened Breathwork Meditation or a Beach Boot Camp on offer.
