As autumn approaches, so does a new season of openings, festivals, and family-friendly activities.

The city of Lincoln provides the perfect backdrop to a season of fun and new experiences, especially those found in the heart of its city centre, The Cornhill Quarter. The area's recent £70 million regeneration project has breathed a new lease of life through its streets, attracting brand new eateries, businesses, attractions, and a whole host of events for this Autumn.

The Reimagined Cornhill Quarter

A stroll around the newly restored Cornhill Quarter provides a unique take on Lincoln's history. With an exciting blend of modern and historic design, the newly refurbished buildings have been created within the former aesthetic of the town centre. Visitors can saunter around the Grade II listed Corn Exchange building, which underwent a £12 million revamp as phase one of the regeneration efforts. Steeped in history, Lincoln's marketplace for grain dates back to 1879 and has been stunningly reimagined as a 21st century social and retail hub.

New openings

The newest eatery in the Cornhill Exchange is California-style buritto joint Tortilla for tacos to eat in or take away. Dishes are fully customisable to fit anyone's diet and cravings and are prepared on-site every day using the best and freshest ingredients. Invigorating palette cleansers in the form of Mexican beers and margaritas are available and particularly welcome after a full day of city exploring. Growing sour-dough pizza brand Three Joes is slated to open in October.

The Cosy Club

The restoration of the historical Corn Exchange throughout 2021 saw the upper levels being turned into a fabulous grand bar and restaurant. Original marketplace adverts adorn the walls alongside portraits of Victorians who walked the floors and mark this flagship venue with a hint of nostalgia, perfect for a lazy breakfast, leisurely lunch or celebratory cocktail.
