Visit Santa Cruz County

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Three new properties will debut on the Santa Cruz County lodging scene in 2022, providing visitors with more choices when it comes to where to stay. Each features its own unique personality, with a variety of locations around town from which to choose.

Here are three new ways to rest easy in 2022 in Santa Cruz County:

>> Hip and Stylish: Hampton Inn Santa Cruz Westside Opens

Santa Cruz’s Mission Street – also known as California’s iconic Highway One – travels through town, linking the westside with the downtown area. Travelers coming southbound on Highway One from San Francisco or the peninsula will arrive on the westside as they enter Santa Cruz County. This once-industrial area known for processing fruit and vegetables grown on the north coast has been reimagined and is now a hip, stylish destination filled with a laid-back vibe. The Hampton Inn – Santa Cruz West was built from the ground up and is newly open. Within walking distance to the Swift Street Courtyard, this mid-level service, two-story hotel offers 60 guest rooms. Guests can enjoy a short walk to lunch at a Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, a private wine tasting experience at Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard, or dinner at the Instagram-friendly Venus Cocktails & Kitchen.

>>  Mid-County Masterpiece: Tapestry Collection by Hilton Brand Coming to Aptos

The former Seacliff Inn located in the Seacliff area of Aptos will become part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in February 2022, with a remodel and rebrand that will conclude in Spring 2022. As part of this transition, an extensive rebrand and remodel is taking place that focuses on the use of natural materials, landscaping enhancements, and the introduction of modern accents that will transform the beloved property into a refuge for travelers and a destination for the community. Keeping true to its boutique hotels roots, Seacliff Inn’s unique personality, personalized services, and unmatched experiences will continue to provide the home-away-from-home stay travelers have been searching for.

>> Seaside Gem: Courtyard by Marriott Santa Cruz at the Beach

Brand new construction in Santa Cruz’s Main Beach area will be completed in March 2022 and the property is welcoming visitors for the new year. A 151-guest room Courtyard by Marriott featuring a mixture of Kings, Double Queens, King Suites, and Double Queen Suites with views of the ocean, San Lorenzo River, and the Santa Cruz Mountains will debut in March 2022.
