Waveney River Centre was bought by Len Funnell and his family in 2003, when it was a small caravan park and marina employing just 3 people. Over the next two decades, operated by his daughter and son-in-law Ruth & James Knight and a team which has grown to over 50, the business has become one of the Broads' most iconic destinations.
Tingdene Group, a long-established leisure industry operator, have four holiday parks and two marinas close to Waveney River Centre – including Broadlands Park & Marina at Oulton Broad.
Ruth and James Knight said “For Waveney River Centre, the sale means joining a group which will not only meet and exceed the high standards which our team have always set for themselves, but also take the business forward in new and exciting ways.
