An extensive inaugural tour portfolio has been announced by Toureasy, the UK's first and only carbon neutral coach holiday tour operator. The start-up operation has unveiled its UK collection with more than 50 holidays. Breaking the stereotypical mould of coach touring, Toureasy's short breaks and holidays include trips to suit families, friends, couples, solo travellers and groups large or small. With a pledge to offer coach holidays that don't cost the earth...but help save it. Toureasy getaways start from £79 per person.
Toureasy's mission is to open up sustainable holidays to as many people as possible and become THE PLANET'S FAVOURITE COACH TOUR OPERATOR. From 1st November 2021, Toureasy will operate direct coach routes to and from its holiday destinations. With 35 pick-up points across the West Midlands, East Midlands and South West, Toureasy aims to expand departure points in 2022 to cover more of the UK. Packages will always include transport, accommodation and breakfast – with the majority of itineraries adding in evening meals, excursions and entertainment.

Staying at the popular and centrally located Riviera Hotel, well-known for its live entertainment, bingo and indoor swimming pool, guests will base themselves at the hotel with the option to enjoy day trips. Included in the 5-day holiday are excursions to historic Exeter and maritime Plymouth. Guests who fancy getting into the festive spirit are treated to a 'Christmas Day' dinner and 'New Year's Eve' party while enjoying an evening of quizzes and live entertainment.

Celebrating the first bookings, Toureasy is breaking new ground by offsetting 100% of the operation's carbon emissions and estimates that it will have offset over 1,000 tonnes of carbon by the end of 2021. Its first 100 tonnes of carbon emissions were offset prior to the company launching, showing its commitment to support global projects.

Price Match Promise:
In the unlikely event another operator is offering availability on the same holiday, on the same date from the same pick-up area for a lower price than Toureasy, the price will be matched.
- The alternative holiday price must:
- Be currently available on the same departure date and for the same duration
- Have the same inclusions and use the same hotel
- Pick up from the same area as your Toureasy pick-up point
Toureasy's Price Match Promise can only be claimed within 7 days of booking. If a booking has not yet been made, then both the Toureasy tour and that offered by the other operator must both be available.
Coaches:
As the UK's first and only carbon neutral coach tour operator, Toureasy works with coach operator partners to ensure all holidays are as sustainable as possible. A Toureasy coach operator partner agrees to a wide range of measures that helps minimise our carbon footprint whilst on tour. This ranges from minimum engine specifications through to minimising the use of plastic (no single-use plastic waste bags, for example) and driver training. In all cases, our carbon calculator understands how much carbon is emitted on each of our trips, all of which will be fully offset to ensure we maintain our carbon neutral certification.
COVID-safe:
Toureasy's primary duty is to keep holidaymakers safe. In addition to the usual safety measures associated with running a coach tour operation, Toureasy has implemented a comprehensive set of precautions and guidance in reference to Covid-19 including any latest restrictions set up by the UK Government.
Carbon Offsetting:
A Carbon offset is a way to compensate for emissions by funding an equivalent carbon dioxide saving elsewhere. Balancing out emissions by helping to pay for emission savings in other parts of the world.
Projects:
UK Tree Planting + Protecting the Amazon
This project provides an opportunity to plant trees in the UK whilst also helping to protect the Amazon Rainforest – the largest remaining rainforest in the world. The Amazon is known for its amazing biodiversity, containing 10% of all species, including many endangered species. For each tCO2e offset, one tree is planted in the UK in the region of your choice and an additional tCO2e is offset through the Brazilian Amazon Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) project to guarantee the emission reductions. In the UK, the trees are typically planted across school grounds, parks, farms, woodlands and other biodiversity sites, providing wildlife habitats and often bringing educational and community benefits
Kenya Tree Planting + Protecting the Amazon
This project provides an opportunity to plant trees in Kenya as well as helping to protect the Amazon Rainforest – the largest remaining rainforest in the world. The Amazon is known for its amazing biodiversity, containing 10% of all species, including many endangered species. For each tCO2 being offset, one native tree is planted in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya and an additional tCO2 is offset through the Brazilian Amazon Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) project to guarantee the emission reductions. Over the last ten years, the project in Kenya has planted over 170,000 trees and rehabilitated over 160 hectares of the forest helping in restoring the water catchment ecosystem function of the forest. While doing this, over 20 community members who directly work in the forest make their livelihoods from the project. Many more from their families benefit from being dependent on them. The project includes an empowerment scheme, where the members are now owners of dairy cows from which they get additional income from the sale of milk to their villagers. The project is strongly focused on empowering women, who make up over 50% of the project team.
Gunung Salak Geothermal Energy Project
Geothermal power plants use steam produced from reservoirs of hot water found a couple of miles or more below the Earth's surface, instead of having to use fossil fuels. The steam rotates a turbine that activates a generator, which produces electricity. It is a natural and sustainable source of energy. There are over 150 active volcanoes in Indonesia, giving the nation a huge potential for geothermal energy production. Located within the Halimun-Salak National Park, the Gunung Salak project harnesses heat from deep within the Earth to generate clean geothermal power. The project involves a capacity upgrade of three turbines at an existing geothermal power plant from 55MW to 60 MW. This additional 15 MW allows the plant to generate more energy from the same source of thermal steam. The project creates social benefits in addition to the emissions reductions. The projects support regional educational programmes, running activities such as book donations at local schools. The project also improves employment opportunities.
Freedom Flight Prize
The Freedom Flight Prize will be awarded for the first zero carbon emission plane capable of carrying 100+ passengers across the Atlantic This is a ground-breaking initiative that is now open for sponsorship from companies and philanthropists. The aim is to generate a multimillion-pound prize fund to motivate and accelerate the development of truly sustainable aviation
