PERTH

After a cycle around the island and a leisurely dip in a secluded bay of your choice, snap that quokka selfie (make sure you #WanderOutYonder) then head back to the mainland for a well earnt feed in Fremantle (known as 'Freo' to locals). Toss a coin to pick one of the buzzing bars, restaurants or pubs, before jumping on the train or taking an easy 25-minute drive back to the city. It's no wonder Perth is top of the ladder!

BUNGLE BUNGLE RANGE

Now to shift the goal posts and head north to the Kimberly's number one ticket holder, the Bungle Bungle Range. Located in the World Heritage-listed, Purnululu National Park, this captivating landscape is 350 million years in the making. Dust off your boots and explore this ancient wonder on foot by hiking through Cathedral Gorge, Echidna Chasm and other hidden gems. But for the play of the day, take an air safari over the 240,000 hectares of living wilderness.

BROOME
Heading west, Broome is an absolute pearler. Here is where the red dirt of the outback meets the white sand and azure waters of the Indian Ocean. For a birds eye view, take a chopper and call a time out along the Dampier Peninsula and visit Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, or spend a night at one of the Aboriginal owned and operated hideaways like Lombadina or Kooljaman wilderness camp.

KARIJINI NATIONAL PARK

Time to make your way inland, and say G'day to hall of famer, Karijini National Park. With two billion years under its cap, get this prehistoric player's career highlights at the Karijini Visitors Centre. Want an all access pass? Jump on a tour to or put your explorer's hat on and discover the tunnels of marbled rock, clamber over boulders, squeeze through narrow tunnels and descend deep into ancient chasms, before retiring for a swim in one of the freshwater rock pools.

EXMOUTH

Hit the coast to meet the ultimate aquatic line up that's sure to bring its A-game, Exmouth. The northern gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, here you can tackle some of the ocean's biggest players, swimming with whale sharks, manta rays and the even the all mighty humpback whale.  Up the ante by exploring the rugged ranges of Cape Range National Park on a guided hike and top it all off by pitching a tent under the stars. Camping not your thing? Why not treat yourself to a little barefoot luxury and spend a few nights at Sal Salis.

THE MARGARET RIVER REGION

Get the esky ready, cause it's time for a drinks break in the Margaret River region. While known for its world-class drop, the draught pick goes to the frothies that are flowing at over 10 local breweries. Mother Nature is even named on the culinary team, offering up bounties of bush tucker to discover with a local Wadandi guide along the Cape to Cape trail. Be sure to check out a cellar of a different kind and head underground at Ngilgi, Mammoth, Lake and Jewel caves.  

Before the final siren, make a your last play a visit to the 1841-meter-long Busselton Jetty before heading back to Perth.
