PADI LAUNCHES PLASTIC FREE JULY COLLECTION TO HELP PROTECT SHARKS

Celebrate Plastic Free July and Discovery Shark Week while helping to save the ocean and play a role in protecting vulnerable marine life this summer

PADI®, the world's largest ocean exploration and diver organisation, is committed to reducing the use of single-use plastics and has introduced a range of sustainable, ocean conscious options for those of us who love water, travel and the planet.

Whether you're at the beach, camping, fishing, walking or simply going for a picnic, the PADI Gear shark-themed collection includes a range of products perfect for use in the great outdoors including face coverings, hats, drinking bottles, towels and bags.

All the products are either made from recycled plastic taken from the ocean or a plastic free alternative to help consumers reduce their use of plastic in general.

So far, PADI has helped remove 58,576lbs of plastic through a range of PADI Gear products made from recycled ocean plastic. Additionally, over £23,000 GBP has been donated to the PADI AWARE Foundation™ through PADI Gear sales to further support the removal of plastic from the ocean.

The collection has been created to celebrate and encourage the protection of sharks in collaboration with Mike Coots, a PADI AmbassaDiver, shark attack survivor and activist, photographer and surfer and the Discovery Channel to celebrate their annual Shark Week.
