PATINA MALDIVES, FARI ISLANDS HAS APPOINTED SOFIJA MISLJENOVIC AS DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING
Patina Maldives, Fari Islands has appointed Sofija Misljenovic as director of wellbeing. In her new role, Sofija will be leading a team of wellness professionals who will lead a new wave of integrative wellness therapies in the Maldives – combining ancient and modern techniques to help achieve the optimum equilibrium for guests' wellbeing.
Sofija brings almost 15 years of experience in the wellness industry and various luxury brands, with previous roles as manager at Cove Club Finolhu Maldives; Park Hyatt and Villas Abu Dhabi; Kempinski Seychelles Resort and most recently, director of spa at JW Marriott Maldives Resort and Spa. Having been the pre-opening spa manager for JW Marriott Maldives Resort and Spa and the pre-opening task force spa manager at Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort and Spa, Sofija boasts significant experience and a proven track record with handling and leading luxury launches.
Sofija began her career in the wellness field as a spa therapist at Kuramathi Resort & Spa, Maldives, having identified her deep passion for the broader health and wellbeing industry. Since then, Sofija has channelled this passion and remains dedicated to furthering her knowledge and experiencing wellness practices unique to different cultures.
Flow, the spa at Patina Maldives, will offer a host of curative and preventive remedies. Embracing innovations in wellbeing technology proven for their ability to bring balance, Flow has floatation tanks and facilities to accommodate Watsu therapy, a form of hydrotherapy that combines traditional Japanese Shiatsu massage techniques with the benefits of immersing in warm water.
Of her new role, Sofija says, “At Flow, our philosophy centres around balance and self-discovery; as they work with each guest, our therapists will tune into the individual needs and apply a bespoke blend of techniques to unearth the body's own source of wellbeing. We encourage our guests to slow down the pace of their lifestyle, reconnect with nature, and ultimately strive for a balanced lifestyle in order to become happier and healthier.”
