About Suriyawatta Villa, Weligama

Suriyawatta is named after the two large Tulip trees that shade the house's south facing lawn and majestic poolside. The five bedroom property has an airy open plan structure with French windows leading to the terrace, garden and the jewel in its crown, that amazing ocean view beyond.

The lower terrace of Suriyawatta houses the lawn-framed pool - a few more steps lead down along the garden to a private gate that opens onto your own small beach and the beautiful lagoon that seasonally offers safe swimming and snorkelling. The villa has heaps of space to relax on sunloungers between swims. The five bedrooms consist of two four-poster doubles, two four-poster twins and a four-bed four-poster bunk room, all with ensuite bathrooms.

The kitchen is inviting, or can be left completely as the domain of the private chef to work their delicious magic. Guests travelling with children will find the property to be very child-friendly - cots, child seats and baby-sitting are all available on request.

About Sri Lanka's Safe & Secure Level 1 Certification

As Sri Lanka opens its doors to the world once again, everything has been done to make the island getaway as safe, secure and serene as possible.

Sri Lanka's Safe & Secure Level 1 properties have completed an audit by an independent firm and are continually assessed. They can provide accommodation for all international tourists from the first day of their stay in Sri Lanka. Tourists must spend their first 14 nights (or the full duration of their holiday if shorter than 14 nights) staying at Level 1 properties unless they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (in which case they must stay at a Level 1 property until an on-arrival PCR test is performed, for 24-48 hours. On receipt of a negative PCR test result they may now travel freely).
