Home Farm Glamping

*Just six Bell Tent/Yurts in operation until 17th May with dedicated bathing facilities makes this a very special time to visit*

A balm to the soul of anyone feeling jaded by the last year; North London's nearest glamping escape, Home Farm Glamping, is gearing up to open its beautiful Bell Tents and Yurts for the start of the Spring/Summer season on 23rd April 2021.

April/May 2021 offers a unique time to visit

In line with the government's Covid roadmap and as one of only a few types of accommodation able to open in April, Home Farm Glamping will be operating just six Bell Tents/Yurts until 17th May. Each accommodation will welcome just one household and each has dedicated bathing facilities. There are no worries about social distancing here! In the site's first few weeks, guests will be free to roam around its 150 acres of wild woodland, historic parkland and private lake on the Aldenham Estate in Elstree – sharing it for the most part with just the local wildlife.

Designed to help people switch off from the intensity of urban life, Home Farm Glamping sits within a beautiful, private, rural hideaway that is just ten minutes taxi ride from Jubilee and Thameslink stations in Elstree. So easy to get to, yet once you hop out you are in peaceful hidden countryside that has been cared for by the same family for 400 years.

What's the vibe?

Guests can expect a relaxed glamping experience combining the natural simplicity of camping with all the creature comforts you would expect from a hotel stay. Each Tent/Yurt has its own private barbecue for cooking, and its own fire pit for roasting marshmallows of course. Guests can order Afternoon Tea Hampers and BBQ boxes ready to be collected on arrival. Hungry campers can also enjoy cooked or continental breakfast served daily in the Meadow Café, and look out for regular pop up al fresco supper clubs.

Visitors can keep their schedule as structured as they wish with the site hosting lots of local businesses who offer guests everything from yoga, guided nature walks, photography safaris, bushcraft, and massages. Or if some time off grid is needed, guests can enjoy nature and freely wander the many walking routes or take their water colours down to the private lake.

A donation from every stay goes to The Wildlife Trust so they can continue their important work in protecting wild places and natural habitats.

There's still school holiday availability – but it's going fast!

There is still short break availability during school summer holidays but it is going fast. Bell Tents can accommodate a family of four, while Yurts can welcome a family of 5.

Prices for a Bell Tent during term-time start at £125 for up to 4 people per night, or £175 for a Yurt for up to 5 people per night.

Notes to Editors:

Home Farm Glamping is North London's nearest glamping escape. The site, which includes its own private lake, sits within 150 acres of wild woodland, meadow and historic parkland on the Aldenham Estate in Elstree, part of the London Metropolitan Green Belt.

Founded by Owner Jess Allen-Back in 2015, Home Farm Glamping offers an opportunity for guests to retreat from city life with its unique blend of town meets country. The site is just a short ten-minute taxi ride from Stanmore tube (Jubilee line) and Elstree & Borehamwood (Thameslink), yet once you hop out you are in peaceful hidden countryside that has been cared for by the same family for over 400 years.

Home Farm Glamping gives guests a relaxed glamping experience; combining the natural simplicity of camping with all the creature comforts you would expect from a hotel stay. Guests can choose to stay in one of eight Bell Tents or four Yurts on site, which have all been beautifully furnished. Jess and her family's mission is to welcome people to their countryside retreat and re-engage them with the beauty and wellbeing benefits of their special part of the Green Belt.

A donation from every stay goes to The Wildlife Trust so they can continue their important work in protecting wild places and natural habitats.
