Tanya Rinaldi, who managed the launch and growth of Airbnb Adventures, has joined Much Better Adventures, where she has been appointed US Head of Adventure to support the company's international growth.
In her previous role as Global Airbnb Adventure Market Manager, Rinaldi successfully garnered international buzz for Airbnb's new range of multi-day experiences with over 200 weekly departures before COVID-19 struck. Following the widely publicised downsizing Airbnb undertook in May, Much Better Adventures were able to take advantage of her unexpected availability.
Speaking on her move, Rinaldi, who will be based in California, said, "MBA is one of those companies that comes along once in a blue moon where you say, “they are really special and I want to be a part of that.” Their ambition is inspiring so I feel extremely lucky to have joined the MBA team".
Much Better Adventures co-founder Sam Bruce commented on the hire: “We're building the market leading brand in adventure travel and hiring exceptional talent like Tanya is crucial. Tanya brings with her a wealth of experience, particularly in the US market, so we are all delighted to have her on board. Our sales have held up relatively well this year despite everything - much better than we expected. We know there's massive global pent up demand for adventure travel in 2021/22 and beyond which Tanya has come in to help us serve".
Much Better Adventures currently offers 130+ adventures in 47 countries with 5% of revenues from all bookings going into funding conservation and supporting remote families who have been affected by COVID-19.
