AUBERGE RESORTS SUSURROS DEL CORAZÓN BREAKS GROUND IN RIVIERA NAYARIT

In 2021, Auberge Resorts Collection will open 59 hotel guest suites and 30 contemporary beachfront residences with direct access to the sparkling blue ocean. Susurros Del Corazón is set on a bluff overlooking Banderas Bay, the property will aim to offer a “bungalow by the beach” experience that draws on the area's fame among surfers. Three scallop-shaped pools will terrace down to the white sandy beach where, in addition to surfing, guests can snorkel or go fishing against the dramatic backdrop of the volcanic Marietas Islands, a protected wildlife refuge. The resort will also have a spa set among its gardens with treatments that take inspiration from the region's heritage of natural healing properties. Guests and residents will enjoy a long list of amenities, from three pools and four restaurants, serving just-caught seafood and Artisan cocktails, to an extensive fitness centre and a kids' club.

THE RITZ CARLTON HOTEL COMING TO A BRAND-NEW DEVELOPMENT IN PUNTA DE MITA, COSTA CANUVA

2021 will also see the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Riviera Nayarit, which will be the first resort to open in the $2 billion luxury development project Costa Canuva CIP (eventually, the development will be home to five resorts).  Plans include 110 deluxe rooms, suites, and private villas with ocean views, as well as a private beach, three restaurants, a bar, event rooms, two pools, a spa, and shops. The Costa Canuva development will also be home to a golf course designed by Hall of Fame golfers Greg Norman and Lorena Ochoa, as well as more than 600 acres of beach, forest, and mountains.

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL TO OPEN FIRST ALL-INCLUSIVE DELTA HOTELS BY MARRIOTT IN RIVIERA NAYARIT

Finally, Riviera Nayarit will be home to the first all-inclusive Delta Hotels by Marriott resort in the world. Marriot International signed an agreement to manage the current 117-room Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa, as it undergoes a significant transformation to meet the new all-inclusive brand extension concept. It is anticipated to be subsequently rebranded and managed by Marriott International in 2021, with an additional expansion of 300 rooms by 2023.

Situated on a hillside in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, the property enjoys an enviable location in one of Mexico's prettiest destinations. It is also very convenient for travellers to access, given that the hotel is located just 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta airport.
