Due to popular demand, Lightwater Valley has confirmed additional dates for its Festive Family Fun event this winter (21st November – 23rd December).
With most of the weekend tickets having already sold out, the North Yorkshire park is adding a limited number of new family tickets for Friday nights.
“We're delighted with the enthusiastic response we have had from people wanting to attend our festive event. Understandably Christmas spirit is in high demand this year, so we've decided to add these additional dates to ensure even more families can enjoy our Festive Family Fun event in a safe, socially-distanced way,” said Lightwater Valley manager Colin Bowes.
There's a sleighful of festive fun on offer. Be enchanted by the fantastical family-friendly Alice in Winterland giant lanterns display as the sun sets over the park.
Embark on a magical journey to meet the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and, of course, Alice herself as she embarks on her amazing adventure.
Dazzling giant illuminated sculptures will also illustrate favourite stories from Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Discover a giant chess board, watch the Mad Hatter prepare for his crazy tea party, marvel at the four-metre tall Alice lantern and come face to face with the infamous Queen of Hearts herself.
Visitors of all ages can follow the luminous trail and immerse themselves in a glowing garden with massive mushrooms, illuminated tulips and even a flamingo or two as the evening becomes curiouser and curiouser…
Families can also enjoy some traditional fairground fun including a spin on the carousel and take to the night sky on the Skyrider.
New for 2020, watch Santa's little helpers on stage in the Christmas Magic Puppet Show, followed by a special appearance of the main man himself and a small chocolatey surprise for the little ones….so be good for goodness sake. Then go on the hunt for the cheeky missing elves as they cause mischief around the park.
Food and drink will be on offer so that visitors can indulge in a seasonal glass of something tasty as well as scrumptious treats including waffles and pancakes and bockwurst sausages from the selection of stalls.
