Worldwide holiday company Kuoni has launched Kuoni Flex, a new initiative to help people who may be hesitant about booking their holiday in light of concerns about coronavirus.

Kuoni Flex goes live today and allows people to switch their holiday to alternative travel dates without  charge right up until up seven days before departure.

Kuoni Flex is available on a wide range of holidays to destinations including Mauritius, the Maldives, Thailand, Bali, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean and Mexico amongst others.  It also includes selected group tours to India, the popular Taj Tour and Kerala Explorer.  

The new flex offers are available for a limited booking period from today (6 March) until 16 March on holidays departing from now until the 15 February 2021.

Kuoni has moved quickly to negotiate flexible booking terms and conditions with key hotel partners and airlines including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines or SriLankan Airlines.

“This will bring peace of mind for a lot of customers who may be nervous about planning ahead, it means they can book now but change their mind and move to an alternative date right up until seven days before they are due to go if the situation has changed,” said Derek Jones CEO, Kuoni.

Other marketing to promote the offer will include store window displays, social media and direct mail to customers.  

Kuoni also confirmed that it has beefed up its customer service team, bringing in more people to help support customers and talk through the options for their holiday plans to be as flexible as possible.

Derek Jones, CEO, Kuoni said: “This is something completely new, offering much more flexibility than usual with terms and booking conditions which we know will inject a boost of confidence for anyone planning a holiday, honeymoon or special occasion trip.  

“At the moment we're seeing people who are really keen to plan and have a holiday in the diary to look forward to - but there is a lot of nervousness around coronavirus and how it might play out which means people are hesitant to make any firm plans.”

Mauritius

The price for selected departures in September 2020 based on two adults sharing is from £1449 per person, with a saving of up to 16%.

Koh Samui, Thailand

Kuoni (01306 747008 or www.kuoni.co.uk) offer eight nights at Bandara Resort & Spa in a Deluxe Room including breakfast, flights on Singapore Airlines from London Heathrow and transfers in resort. The price for selected departures in September 2020 based on two adults sharing is from £1099 per person, including four bonus nights and a saving of up to 18%.

Antigua

Kuoni (01306 747008 or www.kuoni.co.uk) offer seven nights at Blue Waters Resort & Spa in a Superior Hillside Room including breakfast, flights on British Airways from London Gatwick and transfers in resort. The price for selected departures in June and September 2020 based on two adults sharing is from £1499 per person, with a saving of up to 35%.
