Kirsty Lucas has been promoted to Country Manager Australia – Sales & Partnerships at Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines group, after almost two years with the airline.

Kirsty's new role will see her lead Scoot Australia following the recent departure of former Scoot General Manager, Jared Simcox. Supported by the Head Office in Singapore, Kirsty will be tasked with the continued growth of Scoot in Australia through strategic partnerships, including trade opportunities. She will continue to work towards Scoot's mission of making travel attainable for all as well as to encourage the market to embrace the full potential of travelling. This will allow customers in Australia to travel via Singapore to Asia and beyond, to as far as Athens and Berlin in Europe, with the airline's state of the art widebody Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A320 family aircraft.

On her new appointment, Kirsty commented, “Working for a travel disrupter brand over the past two years has been an exciting challenge for me, and I've seen Scoot go from strength to strength. I look forward to continuing to inspire new and entice existing customers to jump on board and escape the ordinary with Scoot.”

Kirsty enters her new role with over a decade of travel and tourism industry experience, including an extensive background in sales and marketing. Prior to working at Scoot, Kirsty was the Regional Manager, Australia at TravMedia and has previously held positions in a variety of tourism-based businesses.
