Following their acclaimed 2019 performance, Opera Australia is returning to Ayers Rock Resort from 11-13 December 2020 with some tickets still available for the four unique performances.

“The 2020 program will be a fabulous showcase of our incredible singers and musicians, combined with the spectacular outback landscape and the spiritual energy that is Uluru”, said Lyndon Terracini AM, Opera Australia Artistic Director.

Guests can choose one or multiple performances to create their own unique Operatic experience from the program:

Friday 11 December (evening): Marriage of Figaro Poolside Dinner

Opera Australia will perform the joyous final act of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, playfully staged under Sails in the Desert's majestic ghost gums with ornate costuming and atmospheric lighting. A 3-course dinner inspired by the Tali Wiru signature dining experience will follow.

Saturday 12 December (morning): Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes Sunrise Performance

This intimate dune-top recital will overlook the spellbinding colours of Field of Light Uluru's 50,000 glass spheres and will take in a magical desert sunrise. With four of Opera Australia's finest singers and a string quartet, this performance will celebrate some of Brahms' most beautiful love songs. A light breakfast will follow.

Saturday 12 December (evening): Opera Gala at Uluru

This main event will feature some of Opera Australia's finest singers performing opera's best-loved hits under the stars, accompanied by a chamber orchestra. As the sun sets over the desert backdrop, the performers will be illuminated by Field of Light Uluru.

Sunday 13 December (morning): Taryn Fiebig with Cello, Sunrise Performance

This intimate acoustic recital will be performed outside as the sun rises over Uluru and Kata Tjuta.  The Helpmann Award-winning soprano and accomplished cellist will create a stirring musical journey for an audience limited to 100 guests.

Packages start from $725 per person and include accommodation at Desert Gardens Hotel (Twin share) plus entry to the Opera at Uluru Gala Concert.
