Homewood is delighted to announce that they are now part of the Mr & Mrs Smith Collection of hotels. This places Homewood, part of The Kaleidoscope Collection, into a luxury boutique hotel league which they are delighted with.
The Georgian country manor house spa and restaurant has also appointed several new senior staff members, including General Manager Ed Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick, will join Homewood on 20 January 2020 as the new General Manager of the boutique 21-bedroom hotel owned by Kaleidoscope Collection. He was previously Deputy General Manager at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, where he won the coveted Acorn Award in 2016.
Homewood has been given a completely new lease of life under the modern vision and interior design style of owners Ian and Christa Taylor.

He's got a fantastic background in five-star operations such as Lucknam Park and Chewton Glen and we're looking forward to him propelling Homewood to the next level, so that it becomes a well-known country house destination in the UK.” commented Ian Taylor, Owner, Kaleidoscope Collection.
Homewood is currently in the process of being extended with the addition of 11 bedrooms, which are due to open in June. There will also be a new outdoor terrace extending across the gardens and the introduction of glamping with four luxury yurts and an outdoor meeting space for corporate away days. Ian Taylor further added “We are entering a very exciting phase for the hotel”.
Other new appointments include:
Jamie Foreman, Executive Head Chef: who joined Homewood in May 2019, has over 20 years' experience, and previously worked at The Abbey Manor House and Cotswold House Hotel for Ian and Christa Taylor for 8 years, before going onto work at Lower Slaughter Manor, a 2 Michelin star restaurant, Wedgewood hotel, a Relais Chateaux in Canada.
Rui de Carvalho, Deputy General Manager: has an excellent hospitality record working in some of the top hotels and restaurants in the UK including Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. He has been Acting General Manager at Homewood since his arrival in August last year the interim period.
Claudio Gheorghita, Food and Beverage Manager: understands both sides of the hospitality world, having garnered exceptional experience at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons as Chef de Rang and also Front of House positions.
Lewis Collins, Events Manager: joins Homewood from Lucknam Park and he will be responsible for co-ordinating weddings and events as well as supporting sales in driving revenue.
Ania Malecka, Guest Relations Manager: will oversee all Guest Relations on reception and was previously at No.15 Great Pulteney for two years.
Barbara Arabella-Soria, Head Housekeeper: Comes to Homewood, with six years' experience in housekeeping and previously worked at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. She is also fluent in Spanish and English.

Ed Fitzpatrick – General Manager, Homewood, Country House Hotel and Spa
- Fitzpatrick, spent two years as Deputy General Manager at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, Worcestershire. He previously spent four and a half years at Lygon's sister hotel, Chewton Glen in New Milton, Hampshire, as Food and Beverage Operations Manager and then Operations Manager.
- He won the Acorn Award in 2016.
Jamie Foreman, Executive Head Chef
- Dinner at Homewood is where Chef Jamie Forman and his team's flair truly excels. Whether it be a cosy dinner for two, a family feast or a light supper, the dishes have local provenance at their heart. The seasonal and ever evolving menu focuses on the best produce from trusted local suppliers, which is cooked simply to let the quality of the ingredients shine. Drawing on his experiences in Michelin kitchens, Jamie and his team create elegant yet hearty cuisine that is moulded by the seasons.
- The restaurant at Homewood is also making changes to make themselves as sustainable and eco friendly as possible, with initiatives such as a self-sufficient farm area within the grounds. Homewood has the capacity to have a private dining room facility for guests and parties, as well as catering to wedding requirements for up to 110 guests.
