Steppes Travel is delighted to announce the release of its 2020 expert-led group tours brochure. With over 40 carefully crafted cultural and wildlife tours, Steppes recognises that not only is there strength in numbers but to be accompanied by the finest minds, can bring experiences to life. Steppes Travel works with select experts including researchers, scientists, naturalists, archaeologists and photographers and 2020 sees those partnerships continue with leading names such as Jonathan Green in the Galapagos, Richard Dawkins in Hawaii and Sue Flood in Japan.

Pioneering - Steppes Travel is looking for intrepid travellers to join new adventures.  Following successful pioneering trips to Gabon, Eritrea and Cameroon, Steppes Travel is road-testing new trips to Angola, Togo and Benin and Nagaland, all accompanied by a Steppes Travel expert and local guide.

·         Discover Desert Tribes and Hidden Landscapes is an overland journey through Angola. Visit tribal communities whose traditions have remained largely unchanged for thousands of years, in one of Africa's least visited countries.

·         Voodoo Traditions and West African Culture explores Togo and Benin where traditional fire dances and scarification rituals take place. 

·         Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland discovers India's last frontiers where a way of life is rapidly disappearing. This is a unique opportunity to meet north-east India's last tribal elders.

Wildlife - To see wildlife in its natural habitat is an inspiring and uplifting experience. Steppes Travel's wildlife tours have three goals: to give privileged insight, to give something back and to deliver exceptional wildlife encounters.

·         Jaguars and Maned Wolf Conservation tour takes travellers to Brazil's most biodiverse eco-systems, the Pantanal and the Cerrardo. Meet researchers in the field and go in search of Brazil's enigmatic apex predators.

·         Orangutan Conservation tour is for anybody with a desire to understand the plight of the world's most endangered great ape. Accompanied by Ashley Leiman, founder of the Orangutan Foundation, this trip goes where other tours are simply not given access.
