Hodgetown Brings New Opportunities to Amarillo

Hodgetown officially opened April 8, 2019, and is currently the most state-of-the-art completed AA minor league baseball stadium in the United States. Hodgetown primarily serves as home to the Amarillo Sod Poodles (a San Diego Padres Affiliate) but is specifically designed to also host organizational events, concerts, sports events and much more. From the custom-made Australian seats designed for comfort and efficiency to the grass developed specifically for the latitude of Amarillo, no details were overlooked when developing Hodgetown. Here are a few key structural components that were included in the development of Hodgetown to ensure its versatility:

Since Hodgetown's opening, there have been over 20 AA minor league baseball games held resulting in over 100,000 fans, and multiple non-baseball events hosted at the venue.

Dan Quandt Senior Vice President of the Amarillo Convention & Visitor Council boasted, "We could not be more thrilled with the completion of Hodgetown. It has added energy to our downtown and given Amarilloans a pride that I've never seen in any other city before. It's exciting to see the locals and visitors get together for a Sod Poodles game, then see a group fill the concourse in Hodgetown the next day."
