
Germany's largest theme park invites all curious visitors of IMM to discover why it has again been voted 'Best Theme Park Worldwide' by US trade publication Amusement Today.
In the heart of the border triangle between Germany, France, and Switzerland, Europa-Park delights visitors young and old with over 100 attractions and shows. Across an area of 95 hectares, 15 European themed areas with traditional architecture, gastronomy and plant life invite all to a unique discovery tour. In the 2019 season, there are plenty of new attractions that visitors can look forward to: In the Dome of Dreams, the 360-degree movie adventure 'Mission Astronaut' gives spectacular insights into the world of space travel. In addition, the colourful Scandinavian themed area, including culinary and shopping offers, will be opened during the season. The 'Treasury' in the German Allee offers a first taste of the themed ride 'Pirates in Batavia', which will be realised in 2020. Starting this summer, the Europa-Park JUNIOR CLUB Studio in the Dutch themed area will provide lots of fun and action for the kids. After an exciting journey across the continent, guests of all ages can recharge their batteries for new expeditions both at the park's own themed hotels and at the Camp Resort. And of course, from 31st May, the new Europa-Park Hotel 'Krønasår' will welcome the first visitors.
Highlights 2019
Iceland, Russia or Spain - 15 European themed areas are waiting to be discovered by visitors in Germany's largest theme park. If you like it fast, hop into one of the 13 spectacular rollercoasters. A worldwide unique innovation in the French themed area combines two rollercoasters in one attraction: either classic rollercoaster fun in the dark during an exciting ride with the 'Eurosat - CanCan Coaster' or an innovative virtual reality experience and a futuristic trip with 'Eurosat Coastiality' can be chosen. Another breathtaking VR adventure is waiting on 'Alpenexpress Coastiality' in the Austrian themed area. Here the passengers, together with Baby Otti and other characters from the hilarious Ottifanten world of the famous comedian and artist Otto Waalkes, embark on a wild ride through East Frisia. In the Dome of Dreams in the Greek themed area, young and old alike can look forward to 'Mission Astronaut'. In the captivating 360-degree film, astronauts Alexander Gerst and Thomas Pesquet explain how to prepare for life as an astronaut, how a flight in the Soyuz space shuttle feels, and how to live on the ISS. Magic Cinema 4D features Mack Animation's 12-minute animated film 'Chaos in Wonderland 4D'. A magical artefact of the 'Adventure Club Europe' (ACE), which can bring objects to life, as well as the careless behaviour of Ed Euromaus cause overnight chaos at Europa-Park. The film score comes from the internationally successful composer Volker Bertelmann alias Hauschka, who was nominated for an Oscar. The popular attractions 'Jim Button - Journey though Morrowland', 'Madame Freudenreich Curiosités' and the 'Ghost Castle' have also gained further detailed scenes and theming. Also, the tunnel of the 'Fjord Rafting' has been redesigned. With plenty of special effects, it takes you into a mystical world and the home of a troll that sparkles mysteriously in the dark. As part of a cooperation with German drugstore chain dm-Drogerie Markt GmbH & Co. KG and its customer program 'Glückskind', families in the Italian themed area can now look forward to a special service and sales offer. Away from the hustle and bustle, the youngest visitors can be quietly nursed and changed in a calm environment. There is also a play and seating area and selected products for babies and toddlers are on offer. In addition, the toy manufacturer Simba-Dickie and MackMedia are expanding their cooperation and developing the common toy line 'Alpha Mods P.D'. So, in 2019, fans can not only look forward to new Majorette products, but also to an audio play in cooperation with Edel Verlag and a comic series in '5! Magazine' by Blue Ocean.
For the fifth time in a row Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport are Formula 1 double world champion and therefore achieve most World Championship doubles in series. Accordingly, the Mercedes-Benz Hall will again be dominated by the fastest racing series in the world this season. The Formula 1 theme world 'MONACO' is dedicated to the victorious Silver Arrows, their racers and their team. The exhibition not only takes up the boundless fascination of speed and fast vehicles, but also perfectly prepares visitors for a ride on the 'Silver Star'.
A special highlight is the opening of the Scandinavian theme area. In addition to colourful house facades attract a new restaurant, an ice cream parlour and a large shop. In the 'Treasury' in the German Allee, young and old are already getting exciting insights into the gigantic family attraction 'Pirates in Batavia', which will also enrich Scandinavia in 2020. Starting in summer, the kids can expect a lot of games, fun and shows with the Europa-Park characters in the new Europa-Park JUNIOR CLUB Studio in the Dutch themed area.
Great shows and events
Europa-Park is not only the best theme park in the world, but also the largest entertainment park in the world with a 23-hour show program every day. More than 300 international artists present their skills on the numerous stages and conjure a smile on the face of visitors. The Globe Theatre in the English themed area attracts visitors in the summer season with the acrobatics show 'Times Two'. In addition, the new ice show 'Paddington on Ice - The Great Journey', 'El Barón' in the Spanish Arena as well as further new productions in the Europa-Park JUNIOR CLUB Studio and the Italian Open-Air-Theatre inspire. There's also rousing concerts, exciting parties, fascinating theme parties and many other event highlights which ensure the be crowd-pleasers. New to the event calendar in 2019 are the 'Voletarium Night' on 4th May and the 'Picnic Open Air Cinema' on the second and third weekend in June. At the spectacular 'Summer Night Party' on 20th July, almost all attractions are open until midnight. In addition, great live acts, a large concert stage as well as walking acts and fantastic fireworks guarantee an unforgettable day. From 20th July to 8th September, 'Sand Sculptures in Perfection' will bring the new water world 'Rulantica' to life next to the Tyrolean Log Flume. 'Music @ Park' by German Radio Regenbogen provides a sensational party atmosphere with live acts and DJs on 3rd August. On 8th and 9th November, the second edition of the rock and indie festival 'Rolling Stone Park' will take place in Germany's largest theme park.
Rulantica – the new Europa-Park water world
At the gates of the most popular theme park in Germany, 'Rulantica' - The new Europa-Park water world' will be built by the end of 2019. An elaborate Nordic theme - inspired by the Nordic saga around the legendary island 'Rulantica' - alongside 25 exciting water attractions guarantee an unforgettable adventure for the whole family. An integral part of the 450,000-square-metre resort extension is 'Krønasår - The Museum-Hotel'. The Scandinavian-style accommodation is modeled on a natural history museum. Curious adventurers can already book an overnight stay in the sixth themed hotel. While the water world of experience will be completed in the coming months, the hotel 'Krønasår' next door will open its doors on 31st May.
From Italy to the Wild West
After an exciting day at Europa-Park, the park's own themed hotels offer fantastic recreational and relaxation opportunities. In all 4* and 4* superior hotels, guests experience a true-to-detail ambience: adults and children alike can enjoy 'la dolce vita', can follow in the footsteps of pilgrim fathers and discoverers or immerse themselves in a wildly romantic castle life.
