Sapporo – Red Planet Hotels celebrated a major milestone on 30 November 2018 as it welcomed its 10 millionth guest at its recently opened Red Planet Sapporo Susukino South hotel. 

The guest, a native of Tokyo, was surprised with the announcement at check-in by Red Planet Hotels' COO, Erwann Mahe, and Red Planet Japan's Director of Operations, Mika Umemura, along with the hotel's staff and Freddy, Red Planet's brand mascot.

To celebrate its 10 millionth check-in, Red Planet Hotels presented Apple's latest iPhone release, the XS Max, complete with a custom-made Red Planet case, a reflection of the brand's commitment to digital innovation and technological relevance. Freddy escorted the lucky guest to her festively-decorated room where a basket filled with special gifts from the Sapporo hotel was waiting. 

“This milestone is very important to Red Planet Hotels as it demonstrates the success of our strategy to capture the explosive growth in leisure travel among Asian millennials,” said Erwann Mahe. “It was not surprising that our 10 millionth check-in was in Japan, following the rapid expansion of the Japanese tourism industry.”
